Seventh Vibrant Gujarat summit flagged off in Gandhinagar. Pitching for sustainable and inclusive growth, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, inaugurated the 7th Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit 2015 in Gandhinagar. The Vibrant Gujarat Summit is a biennial global business summit, being held since 2003, when Modi was Chief Minister of the state. Over 110 countries are going to be a part of the 2015 edition.

Jaitley adopted four villages in Gujarat under Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley declared on January 11 that he had adopted four villages in the Vadodara district of Gujarat under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana for members of the Indian Parliament. The scheme encourages MPs from both Houses to identify and develop one village from their constituency as a model village by 2016, and two more by 2019.
