  • Rebels in Yemen to reach a deal with their President Mansour Haadi.
    The agreement between the President Mansour Haadi and the rebels will give the rebel Houthi Movement more say in the country's affairs. The agreement was settled in exchange of Houthis leaving the house of the President Abed Rabbu Mansour Haadi.
  • Ramban - Banihal (32 km) and Udhampur - Ramban section (40 km) to be 4 lane.The center now approves of the four lanes on the National Highway 1A (now NH-44) to make a all-weather road from Jammu to the Kashmir valley.
  • PM launches Sukanya Samridhi Yojana.
    Under the BBBP (Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao) campaign, Narender Modi launched the Sukanya Samridhi Yojana. The parents can open an account for their girl child, who is less than or of 10 years of age, with a deposit of Rs. 1000 on an interest of 9.1%. They shall also enjoy Tax rebates. However, a maximum of Rs. 1.5 lakhs can be deposited in a financial year, under the scheme.
  • Nawaz Sharif government takes actions against terrorist groups.
    Pakistan government banned terror groups Jammat-Ud-Dawa, which is led by Hafeez Saeed and the Haqqani Network.
  • Bibek Debroy became a full time member of the NITI Ayog.
    The noted economist, Bibek Debroy, who has been a Research Proff. at the Center for Policy Research is now a full time member of National Institute for Transforming India (NITI Ayog).
