Sensex fell by 120 points but rebounded as it closed. Sensex slipped below 28000 level, a fall of over 120 points. This happened despite a continuous fall in trade deficit of the country. However, as the day ended, loses in banks and IT shares were offset by gains in capital goods shares.
Reliance Industries profits dipped by 4.5%. Reliance industries reported its first decline in profits since April 2014. This fall can be largely attributed to a steep fall in the international crude oil prices which narrowed its refining business.
